Maricopa
Community Colleges Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is launching an
online Satellite Office to help startup businesses utilize the internet.
Our goal is to support you to create a successful online enterprise,
create jobs and generate revenue for the local economy.
Full of opportunity and uncharted territory, the Internet is the “New” Wild, Wild West for Business.
Does your new business have what it takes to make your way in the new online
frontier??? We help you build your
business by combining:
- Online step by step guides
- In person and online group training
- Professional business analysts reviewing your strategy and providing feedback
- Plus…much, much more.
What does it take to launch your business online?
Launching an online marketing campaign for a new business can be daunting. Like
all things in life, preparation, perseverance, hard work, and a bit of luck are
all ingredients for success. We can help you most with the preparation, and can
provide guidance for the road you must travel to create a strong online presence
for your business.
What does it cost?
The SBDC provides one-on-one assistance at
no cost to you. There are always costs to start any new business, but an online
business does not require the high costs a retail store or other brick and
mortar types of businesses need. Most online marketing can be done by you;
however we do recommend enlisting experts for certain projects along the way. We
can refer you to other experts, such as web designers, search engine
optimization (SEO) providers, social media experts and other advisors when you
need it, but we will never profit from any referral, and will act as your
business advisor along the way.
Who will help me along the way?
Our online team consists of small business persons who are experienced in online business, who can help you build your business from the ground up, and create success online. Click here to read about our Business Analysts, Nancy Sanders and Kristin Slice.
So how do I get started?
First, you will need to fill out the online form to request services from the Small Business Development Center.
Then, you will need to submit your business plan for our business analysts to
review. If you don’t have a plan, we can help with that.
- If you have a business plan, email it to nancy.cruikshank@domail.maricopa.edu
-
If you need to create a business plan click here.
Once your plan is completed, you will work with your analyst to develop your
website, determine your specific online marketing strategies, and launch your
business. You will submit information through online worksheets for review by
your SBDC counselors. We will guide you through the process and are there to
help by answering questions, giving advice, and supporting you all the way!
