Attendees will be provided a workbook that includes a sample business plan and other information needed for starting up.

In this workshop you will learn basic information about buying or selling a small business, including: * Information on types of businesses to buy * Whether to franchise or not * The three key factors for success * What you need to evaluate a business to buy * Evaluating your motives to sell * Determining the value * Marketing the business * Key advisors, and * Negotiating a successful transaction. Attendees will be provided a workbook which includes sample valuation techniques and legal forms.

This workshop is designed for startup and new businesses looking for information on setting up bookkeeping systems including: * What is required for financial statements and reporting, and * A review of computer accounting systems in wide use for small businesses. Attendees will be provided a workbook that includes sample forms and reports, and gives checklists for accounting systems, record retention, and more.
