DESCRIPTION:This workshop begins with some basics of the SBIR/STTR programs. It will then covers the process for developing a competitive Phase 1 SBIR or STTR proposal to any of the 11 participating agencies. The workshop is suitable for newcomers to the SBIR/STTR programs\, as well as those who have previously submitted Phase 1 proposals but have not received awards. That was during the telecom/wireless revolution.  During the Internet revolution\, he helped a number of Silicon Valley startups grow their sales exponentially and then took that collective knowledge to launch his own startup company. After successfully selling his startup through a software licensing arrangement\, he joined academe. \nJohn now helps Arizona State University expand its research enterprise by leveraging the skills he developed during the course of his career.
