Basics of Proposal Writing

This is a basic introduction to responding to government proposals. Topics to be presented are:
• Understanding the parts of an RFP
• Preparing to bid
• Avoiding common mistakes
• Q&A
• Proposal coaching

Each attendee will learn:

  • What the important parts to federal and state solicitations are
  • What the appropriate response format
  • Where to go for more informationAttendees are encouraged to bring a current solicitation or an old one that they wish to dissect. Laptops are also highly recommended.Speaker: Stephanie Parrish, Proposal and Grant Writer, Owner of Momentum Grant and Proposal Writing Services. Momentum offers opportunity research, proposal development, consulting, and review services.

Background: Stephanie has worked as a technical writer since 2005. She specializes in grant and proposal writing. She is experienced in responding to international, federal, state, and local government solicitations for for-profit companies, as well as to private and corporate foundation grant programs for nonprofit organizations.
